"Speed of the diving falcon, striking with silent precision."
The Hayabusa 隼—named for the Peregrine Falcon—represents a study in agility and silent precision. Designed for collectors and practitioners who value a compact profile without sacrificing authoritative presence, this companion blade is built for swift movement and balanced transitions. Drawing inspiration from the fastest bird in the sky, it harmonizes a deep navy and bronze palette with a unique, atmospheric finish, offering a work of refined power that honors the legacy of the traditional side-sword.
The internal character of the blade is established through the manual forging of T10 High-Carbon Steel, a material selected for its structural excellence. Through the disciplined method of clay-tempering, the steel undergoes a natural internal transformation that orchestrates a dual-density architecture. This thermal process grants the edge a high level of density for enduring integrity while preserving a resilient, shock-absorbing spine. The visual result is a highly visible, authentic Hamon along the profile—a permanent testament to the piece’s internal refinement and superior structural balance.
Complementing the refined steel is the visual elegance of the aged bronze Tsuba, featuring detailed falcon motifs that anchor the work’s thematic identity. Every component reflects a commitment to structural stability, where the Tsuka is built from real rayskin wrapped over solid wood. Utilizing the genuine pebbled texture of the skin to ensure a superior, non-slip foundation, the hilt is secured with a tight navy cord wrap and anchored by traditional Mekugi pins. Housed in a unique black marblized Saya accented by subtle blue and orange swirls, the Hayabusa remains a unified tribute to the exacting standards of the classical forge.
